Relisted on Ebay

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

My grandparents used to live on Tomlea Avenue not far from the Bank Top
and I have an aunt/cousins still in Ashington where I was born many moons
back; of course none of this will mean anything to anyone other than
Richard!

Nice car - why not do a full write up with piccies uploaded through
http://www.photobucket.com to get the juices (and wallets) flowing among
us Xm diehards. Add this extra spiel to the ebay auction with a threat
of death for timewasters and I'm sure the right buyer will materialise.

Would it not be worth nailing the ABS issue out for non Xm fanatic/DIYers?
Even a multimeter reading to denote a duff sensor would appease concerns.

Hi, im sick of usual ebay idiots, they make offers which you accept then they make no contact what so ever! It costs £14.99 for a classified advert and as soon as its sold its taken off sale, if they dont make contact i have to relist which costs another £14.99 and this is the 3rd time!

Hopefully someone will take it.

Im going to get it down to my mates garage on the diagnostics and find out what abs fault it has.
I never noticed until my wife pointed the display out, you can only see it on a sunny day. Some cheeky bugger has took the abs light out of the dash and tampered with the displays so it doesnt light up showing the ABS OUT OF USE, but when the sun hits it you can see the what it says!

I have also just noticed a slight LHM leak, im pretty sure it is just a seal.

Cars.......nowt but bloody bother.

I can't disagree with that, they're very tiresome at times.

Good look with the sale Richard. My daily user is very similar to this, its a 2.1 auto, VSX with leather and the same colour.

I had two people look at it weeks ago when i first advertised it, and i think what puts people off is they liked the xm when they were out and had always fancied one, but the xm is 15 year old, and obviousley they arent as good as a modern car! Both guys turned up in less than 3 year old cars so was a bit of a diffrence in them!

My other car is a Audi RS6 4.5 V8 Twin Turbo 450bhp.....sometimes when i jump into the xm i think its powered by a hamster in a wheel......they are completely diffrent cars and i think thats what some folk dont understand, that it is a 15 year old OLD car!

I think the only person that is gunna buy this is a citroen entusiast or someone who just needs a cheap run about, who isnt too bothered!

I will get some new photos of it this weekend and hopefully get them up on here!

Cheers

Richard

Yea nowt but bother, i took my audi to my friends garage with a slight knock on the front, and occasionally the abs light would come on, then go off....

I was expecting a bottom arm/ball joint and a brake pedal switch or something.....£100 tops?

How wrong was i........Back shocker knakered, causing the whole DRC system to fail. Whole new suspension needed. Changing for a set of coilovers, ABS is a sensor £160! dealer only part!,Rear brake pads only use genuine audi or they will squeel, diagnosis and a oil/filter change. The bill? Few pennys short of £2000!
