LPG XM for sale on Ebay

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

The best thing for it would be to remove that kit, and install a modern kit with an underlung tank, and find a space saver Volvo rim like Steve had in his TCT.

You wouldn't even need the spare judging by the number of times a puncture is encountered and I cannot recall
the last time i needed the services of the AA whom I've been with for years. And think about the space saver
- when the wheelbarrow wheel is fitted does the flat full fat wheel vanish into thin air, get posted on ahead or
just get left by the kerbside? Rubbish compromised thinking and design really.

A donut tank under the bootfloor and more creative space management under the bonnet would work wonders
on the car.

If you're going to get 'spikey' about this here goes.
I didn't say it was ONLY a car forum, I said it was a car forum. BIG difference!
I apologize for inserting 'ONLY'.
jan_hendrick was your coment about the queens english aimed at me. if so we cant all be as clever as you.
My comment was not directly aimed at you, although it may have seemed that way, but admittedly it was triggered by it. The 'clever factor' has nothing to do with it.

The usage of 'evolved' English is clearly being justified by the acceptance I have noticed in the comments and I now regret that I showed my irritation and offended members of this wonderful forum. Image

Jan.

As part of my daily work as a Graphic Designer you probably wouldn't want to see the stuff I'm
presented with by big UK National and Multi-National Companies for inclusion in their customer
communications via the web, print literature and exhibitions.

It's shocking how many people in their PR and marketing Departments can't use simple spellcheckers
and punctuation, never mind coherent thinking and structured sentences...

"Evolved' English can't be a very good thing really if you like to see things "done right" but it's largely
beyond everyone's "control" even where I personally try to straighten the innacuracies and bibble-bobble
I'm presented with! There were IIRC 3 gaffes on the front of The Times newspaper a few weeks ago;
what chance have the rest of us?

Andrew,
Thank you for your response!
One of my jobs here in Japan is translating/rewriting Japanese to English. On a large variety of subjects. The last was rewriting text for a hotel brochure. I always try to get the translation as accurate as possible, using good syntax and correct spelling.
I see spelling and syntax errors on the net all the time. The BBC news pages have more and more. So do other net publications.
But I suppose I need to be more flexible as, like you point out, it's beyond [our] control.Image

Back to the XMs then...

The thing about the space saver is that for general day to day motoring it's fine, you can leave it in the boot and still have plenty of room but if you need to move a bigger load you can leave it at home or put it on the passenger seat if you get caught out with a loads size. More than anything it was the security of knowing that I wouldn't be stuck - some areas around here (edge of the Peak District) don't have cell phone coverage. I carried a can of Tyre Weld too just to be on the safe side.
