I'd say car and classic have auto re listed it again.

In my earlier messages I advised there was another interested party and then that I had accepted an offer. I have renewed the listing because at this stage only a deposit has been paid and the buyer still needs to sell their own car!

What you told me was that you'd had an offer, you the invited me to make an offer, which I did £1250. your Ebay asking price, you then felt obliged to allow the other interested party to up his offer to match mine, is this not how you remember it?
All very strange considering all you have is a deposit?
