If you look at CX's, I believe the petrol motors will become more sought after eventually anyway. Years ago the CX to have seemed to be the DTR Turbo Safari, as it was a fast economic load lugger capable of huge mileages. Now most CX's only cover a small mileage each year, and the majority of the surviving diesels are worn out. People are going for tidy petrols these days as they haven't been run into the ground, have much lower mileages on them and the fuel penalty over a couple of thousand miles a year is low enough to be outweighed by condition.
