Re: Citroen c6 hdi
Best is to just get a second hand unit or take it as a chance to upgrade to the newer RT or myway setups.
There was mention of them sometimes getting stuck in a bootloop but your issue doesn't sound like that.

Re: Citroen c6 hdi
Unfortunately you can't change the head unit on the C6 to anything other then the standard ones as the dashboard, heads up display, and all of the screen functions, not just the radio run through it, this applies to the myway units too. It needs to be an RT unit that goes in. If the RT3/4/5 packs in on a C6 then all of the electrics go off.
How old is this car? Is it RT3, RT4 or RT5?
The other problem with upgrading from RT3 to RT4 is that the connections on the back are different as is the loom that runs to the screen so you'd need everything that's there, RT4, screen and wiring loom, to perform the upgrade.
RT4 to RT5 is a straight forward upgrade but you are looking at around £500 upwards for a second hand unit, if you can find one.

Re: Citroen c6 hdi
Hello David,
many thanks for the e,mail.
Iv already been n touch with the person from Autotronics.Seems to know his stuff.
Its an 07 plate c6 with the RT4 system.Learning very fast about the system.Love the car.
Didnt want to but 400 miles+ in 24 hrs and feel together with it.
Driven customers and work on them, even complete timing belt replacement.Only one turned me on.
A 2.2 hdi manual thats ended up in New Zealand now.
Think im happy because its my c6 paid for with all the faults, typical citroen.
Sold many xm cars and estates over many years.Time stops for no one so onwards and upwards.
Wish citroen would produce more interesting cars.
Question has anyone used Autotronics and had good results ???
Thanks for your help.
