51k Miles S1 Auto Petrol Hatch

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

51k Miles S1 Auto Petrol Hatch

Post by onthecut » Mon Nov 16, 2009 2:24 pm

Hi Guys.

Sadly neglected and now got to go is my neighbour's S1 petrol Hatch. I know the history of this, as it was my mother's and the mileage is absolutely spot on. Neighbour is only the third keeper and basically has done nothing with it in the four or five years he has had it. I suspect it would be prudent to anticipate trailering it away given its prolonged outdoor lay up, but it seems a shame if such a low miles example goes to the crusher, which is now its impending fate. Car is just a couple of minutes off the M6 in Brum.

Mike.

Someones got to buy it at that mileage, I wouldn't condemn it as a non runner (unless you have tried it). If only it was a diesel .......

Someone has to save this car! I wish there was a bridge between our Islands, it would make things so much more feasable.

Hello...

any more details - pics etc - what spec is it?

I'm in Brum and in the market for my next xm...

Crucial for me are air con and cruise? If you think it might be salvagable let me know...

Hi Oli

Not for you, then --- it's pretty much poverty spec ; certainly no cruise or aircon. It should be salvageable I would have thought, but obviously favourite course of action is to see it in the flesh if you are minded to put it back on the road.
