XM 2.0L TURBO wanted

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

XM 2.0L TURBO wanted

Post by Tonks » Wed Oct 28, 2015 12:36 pm

My 1998 xm vsx with 125,000 miles has a blown turbo. In bits on my bench needing a new shaft which I cannot obtain. I have bought a new compressor wheel and repair kit but I have decided to replace with a used turbo.

Best bet would be to send it off to a rebuilders as a used turbo could be in the same state shortly after you fit it and is it worth the pain to do it all again for a few quid saved?

There should be loads of blowers for these. Ask the peugeot boys and those who have binned an original for a hybrid unit or something should have one sitting around at a guess.

The biggest problem with the TB25 turbo is that they were only made for Citroen and Peugeot so new parts are getting difficult. I have been talking to Turbo Rebuild Ltd. who have been very helpful but unfortunately do not have the turbine wheel and shaft. We are trying to ascertain if one from a T25 will fit. Thanks for the Peugeot route. I will visit my local Peugeot breaker.
