Definitely the ultimate PRV 24V!!

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

IMO the colour's right. As it's an S1 imagine the trim as black and the hideous gold alloys as silver.

You have obviously done the research on collection of the car Neil and I agree the temptation is strong! As a 24v the trim should be colour matched and it is only the wheels that are wrong. It is such a shame we did not get that combination in the UK. With regards, Matthew T. PS. I attach my earlier cut and paste illustration!

Understood with the trim, it was merely as a point of comparison with my own.

Your picture shows the difference if just the wheels are done.

Why do things like this come along at the wrong time?

The sills have been painted one colour, instead of being black on the lower section.

I agree with Niels thoughts, but the timing isn't right for me. I would go there and back in 2 days, fly over, get the car and motor back.

The ferry from Bilbao (or Santander) is a good answer, Eddie, but do get a cabin if you want any sleep!
Takes a very long day to drive from N to S of Spain; a stopover somewhere makes it a better experience; pretty much the same as France in that respect.
The drive across Spain is quite spectacular, with plenty of near-empty motorways.

North coast ports to Madrid less than a day's drive.

That is well spotted with the lower sills Will and I think the wing badges are also missing that might confirm some repainting if not a complete respray. It has the extra V6.24 badge on the rear reflector. I think even I would be reluctant to pursue an acquisition at that distance, despite other past exploits! In the case of the Germany car I was quite lucky as I was able to converse with the owner via skype who spoke good English and was very up front and co-operative. It is also worth exploring transportation as I did, rather than personal collection, which avoids registration, insurance and possible breakdown issues and expense, plus flight and accommodation etc. The location of the car is just south of Madrid close to the centre of Spain. Regards, Matthew T.
