Its like La CX de mon pere, it has been a couple of years since I read them, so can't comment on liking one more than the other.

Being an anorak, I have a fair few Citroen books, some of them French.

I've not bought that one Robert although it's been a recent ebay regular.
If you're impressed by it I'd give it a go as IIRC it's not silly money.

Incidentally, the mon Pere book regularly appears with different cover
images - have you seen any differences on your travels in France etc
- mine is the one I pictured?

My CX de Mon Pere has the Red GTI turbo 2 on it.



Googling for the picture has brought up this different cover as well.



I'll compare the 2 books over the weekend. There will be duplication in them, the CX de mon pere is more or less only a timeline of evolutions to the car. The Lignee Prestigieuse book, is broken down into different categories, sport being one of them, and another being CX in other markets, off the top of my head.

The Lignee Prestigieuse is quite a bit more expensive than the CX de mon pere.

I had a look at the CX books last night.

I think the new CX lignee Prestigeuse book is definately worth buying to complement La CX de mon pere.

The CX lignee... book is bigger, la cx de.... goes up to the top of the picture on the other book. There are more nice pictures in it, and the way the book is subdivided into other categories is nice, rather than a chronology of everything that happened during each year the CX was in production. It is nice to look at CXs in other Markets, Sport, CXs in use etc.
