Seeing as is seems a specific area it could very well suggest accident repair early on in the car's life
which has suffered more than anything else as it had less successful paint/weather protection.
Doesn't necessarily mean the car is a scrapper though. Peel the wing off and then find a can of worms
perhaps but it could all be localised to this one area of the car.
The prose of Mr MOTman could be more damning as it may list corroded sills and jacking points or
duff subframe mounts but the £350 estimate can't be a lot of welding labour?

Hi all
Yes, the condition of that wing did concern me a bit, its the condition of what its supposed to be fixed to that is worrying. Our friend in Heanor used to run a garage at Eastwood, unfortunatly being the same age as me he is well retired now. I couldn't read that print either

Bit odd that rusting of the wing itself.
Still a replacement wing would sort that.
Wing is still firmly in place so most likely the bolt that holds the rear corner of the bumper has rusted out.
Stub chassis supports for this bolt do rust badly but are easy to weld repair/replace.
Surprised how badly the drivers seat leather has worn.
Must have had a very short driver most of its life!!!
The mixture of lots of generally poor items and the 190k mileage will probably be the death of it.

The proprietor of Woodlinkin is Manuel. He's a nice Chap, been servicing Citroens for donkeys years and is quite a devotee, with not one but two SM...XMX wrote:
Another/none Citroen/Indy garage would probably cost double that as the garage proprietor (Emanuele) is very competent with Citroen's and very reasonable on repair costs !
