Except those are not the early half alcantara seats! The early ones are part cloth and no leather. I have a set of good ones but they are the originals from my car. I acutually had 2 compete examples of this interior. The acantara is much darker than that used on the later half leather exclusive seats

Are you sure you don't mean the Exclusive velour seats. An Exclusive could have either.

Are you sure you don't mean the Exclusive velour seats. An Exclusive could have either.

So I'd like to clear things up if that's okay with everyone !

Firstly, I was quite diligent in checking which XM Exclusive that 'Gallic Oddity' has actually got the problem with (Which doesn't required a 'Degree in Neurology' to decipher) when you check out his postings !

As he's a fairly new forum member with a only a few posts, this easily leads you to his first posting in THIS-THREAD !

Therefore for the record the photo /\ is of the actual driver seat of 'Gallic Oddity's' XM -Exclusive and therefore maybe should have requested for the 'Grey Alcantra' material to 'patch up/repair' the driver seat (Rather than 'Blue') !

'Will' this brings us to Stewart's (Zaphod) posting regarding the 'Earlier Exclusive' use of the 'Darker Blue/Grey Coloured Alcantra' material for the side bolsters with the use of 'Velour cloth' in the middle sections of the seating (Which is probably why he made his posting regarding 'The Actual Colour') !

So conveniently I've borrowed the photo shots (Below) of the interior from recent White Exclusive which is FOR SALE to show what Stewart is trying to put across !





I hope that all makes sense now for every-one

I get my coat now (Or was it an Anorak) !

I'm looking at my seat right now and to me, it is definitely a blue; to 'match' the leather and the exterior colour. If they are a grey, they are a grey with a good tint of blue. Perhaps, yes, I should have posted the photo

Gosh I never knew XM ownership could be such a minefield...

You need a super padded and fur-lined anorak worthy of the Michelin Man for all of this stuff

Hi Jim

Its the short male XM owners getting out that usually wear through the suede on the seatback outer bolster.
Seat well forward catches the metal of the seat belt strap and trouser back pocket buttons catch any hole made.
Michelin Man on the other hand destroys the foam on the outer edge of the seat base whatever the upholstery.

Hi, are you sure about that as every early (94-95 m-Plate) exclusive I have seen has had the half alcantara / cloth seats or the full leather, then N plate onwards seems to have the half leather and full leather, that white TD is the first N plate I have seen with the half alcantara interior, be interesting to know what the ORGA number is. I'm not disputing you, just saying that my observations lead me to belive that the half leather came later! The half alcantara inteiro certainly seems the more unusual of the 3 fitted to Exclusives, with the exception of the cream leather (wish I still had that!)
