Spotted on car and classic v6 12v exclusive

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Car was a 95N reg.

Nothing visible outside except the apparently missing lifting point.

No way to repair that then or would it be a case of stripping down and treating the cracked coatings?

Any repair is possible.
That one fairly major to regain the correct strength with new cill centre plates.
It all depends on what other welding and work the car needs.
Also what alternatives cars are available and at what price.
Note the photo was taken nearly 4 years ago, car less than 15 years old.
At that time you could pick and chose amongst XM MOT failures for the best at around £200.
£300 bought you a Citroen dealers trade in with residual tax and MOT.

Give it another two or three years of XM numbers attrition and such repairs might be worthwhile.
It all depends on supply dropping below demand.
Less than a thousand in use. A similar number rotting away on SORN.
And currently 300 of those going to scrap each year.
The big question is what is the actual UK demand for XM's.
No telling if that is 1500 or 50.
