Well it's quicker than mine at the mo.

I have heard this about the Lucas, being quicker. Mind you the bosch manual, impressed me, so the Lucas must be very impressive then.

I need to drive "Another" bosch mechanical. Ive only driven an auto one, and K ban isnt startleing in the performance place either.. adequet.. is how Id put it.

The Bosch pumped cars make less torque as standard.

However, I may have the answer. The mandarins bosch has been....well fiddled with, and it is much quicker than my old grey one. not massively, but you notice the difference. BUT... I will say this, when the fuel pump on the grey one was rebuilt and tuned, it made the car feel a little more spritely. If I can only crack the secret settings on the mandarin fuel pump......

Very possibly Will. I have the invoice from Van Aakens and it explains what the work on the pump achieves, but of course doesn't go into details of how.
I'm going to take some pictures of all the screw settings and see if there is anything obviously different
between the two. Turbo boost is interesting. In total, it was a 10 HP gain. Enough to make it feel faster.

The Bosch pumps are tuned leaner so produce less torque but the same HP, so if it has more HP, there must be more torque as well...which is the important bit.

Did it smoke more when accelerating?

Tuning these pumps is not hard.

I did note that fuelling delivery rates were displayed - and presumably adjustable? - with Lexia.
An option?
