Robert! Thanks for that -just seen it last night and was going to post on it.
Did you notice it's a NON-HYDRACTIVE XM -look at the middle console.
Base spec also, not even a armrest cushion to speak so of, manual mirrors, no ABS probably.
I think seller is trying his luck at £995 !!! no mileage mentioned either.
I'm thinking whether I want a non-hydractive XM...if I don't like it, it'd be unsaleable.
I could give him a ring...

Well, you could sell it in France! The French and German are mad keen on those awful steering wheels.
I think it would be an interesting experience driving a non-hydractive XM. It would be the epitomy of reliability. No real electronics involved. Its the proper base modle, no storage pockets under the door armrests either. An oversized BX.
The seller has nae chance getting that much for it, I think he would be doing well getting £400 for it.

No kidding, it's seriously tempting just because of the reliability benefit....
The steering wheel would go straight on German ebay, was about to comment the same -how can they!!!-

Its bit of a steep price, although cars abroad fetch so much more than over here to LHD cars are usually worth more here.
I liked our 2.0 16v Manual, very good performance and economy, up to 40MPG and a bit more on a run, fantastic. Though ive not driven a S1 2.0.
There is nothing wrong with autos, apart from the potential for them to go wrong. Though we have had two and never had any problems. Im not sure if i really have a preference to manual or auto in an XM. They both are good but for different reasons.
Would be nice if you could do a deal with Andrew
