Parked in a field, on long lush wet grass, for two years? It's even been mown round!
If the engine bay is anything to go by, I don't rate the underside too highly.
Why do people keep Citroens - of all things - in fields???

Well if you have a field you may as well make the most of it, its a very Irish or rural thing, my uncle down in Bantry has his whole car history lined up in one of his fields under some conifer trees, its rather nice in a way.

This one may be OK, it may not but there is no denying for the money it could be roten as a pear and you would still be getting good value.

And fields don't come much wetter than Irish ones!
Personally, I would just walk away. There's enough to do on an XM without rebuilding acres of body and pipework, and that just isn't my thing at all, to be honest. Takes all sorts.

That is indeed an interesting find Russ and what a shame about the distance and obviously poor condition. I agree it might need more than a petrol pump rewire to return this one to the road! Apart from the other deceptions the registration date of 1993 also seems surprisingly late. As pointed out by Will the 24v never came in champagne (sadly), but here is a cut and paste up I did earlier to explore the possible effect! Regards, Matthew T.

I bet it dont even need a rewire.. if my Yog v6 12v and two v6 24v ones are anything to go by a good rattle and shake of the bunch of relays infront of the ecu box will sort it out!!!!
