To be honest it was sold before it was listed. I'm not certain why it hit ebay really.. However it has a great new owner and the sale was due to sad reasons and nothing to do with the car itself.

Is this (iirc) Andy?, that bought the mandarin one that used to belong to David Hallworth? he had a mandarin TCT, which I believe, used to be one of Matthews, but I thought Andy sold it after acquiring the 24v.
He was intending to have that one rebuilt at a bodyshop.
How are these cars being notified for sale? Is it on the closed group on Facebook...that no one is granted permission to join.
I too was interested in the open market value, as judging the values of ones own S1 cars is extemely difficult. I suspect we are undervaluing our cars by some margin.
An old WHM advert for that car popped up recently and the interest was strong.

I can confirm it is me who has purchased 24 VXM. Mechanically the car is quite excellent however does need paint as the seller pointed out. As this car is the holy grail for me I will be selling the SEi Turbo Auto (Ex Matthew Thomas) Manderin at the start of next year. (please send me a message if anyone on here is interested)
The 24v is now garaged next to the SEi and will be worked on in the near year and hopefully have a full respray around June time. The car has come from a true PRV enthusiast and the engine is in what can only be described as exceptional! I feel extremely lucky to be the one who's been able to offer it a new home
