That 2.1 is back on again

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Same here Robert - £500 tops!!

The update of a pair of decent pictures helped add the £200quid to the finish price!
Watch some muppet ruin it driving home with no water in the engine...

wonder if we'll hear more about it here then!?

It had a very tidy body but the engine was a bit rattly on start up. Although the interior was nice, it wasn't as good as the one from Poole a few weeks ago that was bought by our friend in Scotland, and I think that went for three hundred and something and that was a low miler - seems to be a trend here. I somehow don't think I shall be buying any more at the prices of my last two, £150 and £250, still, it was good while it lasted :D

Hi Peter,

Do you have the link to the other car that went cheaper? Maybe this one needs some TLC or a top end rebuild and a stage 1 head job.

I thought SED's were becoming rare too.

Hi Steve

No sorry I don't. This one sounds tappety when it starts, I dont think its anything serious, probably hydraulic tappets wearing, which they do on these, they usually quieten down when they have had some revs. The advantage of this one is that its taxed and mot'd making it a lot easier to collect, but, it has a severly leaky heater matrix, you pour water into the header tank and it end up in the drivers foot well, so the heater would need bypassing to drive it home - giving a very cold ride, wouldn't suit me at all :o

The other (Poole) one was immaculate inside and low mileage, but had some damage on the body, a couple of scratches along the bonnet as if it had been driven under something and a dent in the o/s sill, nothing unrepairable, but it was drivable.

The interior in the Poole car looks brand new.

Hi peter.

Makes you wonder if it's not more than a failed matrix.

Hi Robert.

Thanks for the link.

Robert just beat me to putting in the link up :!:

But I thought I'd post the forum link to the THREAD where it was discussed with all the encouragement for 'Jorgy' after the Petrol one he nearly got skanked for by our very own forum member 'Brett' who in realty was a DEALER from Stratford -On-Avon

Also another LINK after George got this beauty home, enjoy the read Steve.
