Ah well. I am yet to see what the condition of the existing trims are, so will need to wait I think. Maybe they'll be restorable?

As they really do appear rare as hens teeth I think I need to start looking now for a spare clutch cable. I will pay good money for a suitable cable and although I fully appreciate a new one is going to be highly unlikely a used one would do.

I only want one to carry as a spare on the continent, where obtaining any RHD essentials would be tricky to say the least!

So if anyone has one to spare or are breaking a 2.0 16v manual (or know of one) please let me know...

Congrats on the purchase Phil,
When I had my 16vXM auto (now Jaap's, with full leather transplant) I always thought it would be nice with a manual change, that engine is responsive, perky and revs nicely.

Hope to see you with it at a citroen meet this year!

I'm missing having a bx or xm, sorely tempted by Matthew's lovely red '93 SEi!

I will try to be at the X Rally and the CXM Rally although the National's out because I'll be in France... in the XM all being well

OK, I've seen some more pics of the car and my shopping list has got a little longer...

Wanted: magic dent removing powder ( lol )...

Being a little more serious now:
The wing mirrors are mismatched. There's a silver one on the drivers door and a glossy dark one on the passenger door. I notice there's a silver one on eBay for not much, so might go for that ( it does appear a darker silver but will be easier to repaint to match) but if there is anyone with a silver passenger one (Mk 2) they want to donate for a few quid, that'd be nice.

Those wheel trims: hideous some may think they are ( jury's out as far as I'm concerned) they're original fit so given three of them are ok I should try to find a replacement for the one that's broken... Any out there?

I'm sure there'll be more, maybe a set of mats, but if anyone can help with the above is be hugely grateful...

Have you had a look ebay.de Phil. There's lot of stuff for XM's. As you've seen from my FB updates, I've just bought a XM tailblazer and a armrest extender. Once you figure in the postage and the Euro exchange rate, buying from the near continent isn't any more expensive than from domestic sources and there is invariably more choice.
