I would assume he means the side light on the Near Side.

There is the headlight unit; outside of that is the indicator lamp; beneath both of them is the "low-slung lighting unit". I would assume, rightly or wrongly, the latter is the "side light on the Near Side".

Without wishing to create a flame war, the lamp to the side of the headlamp is the sidelight. The indicators are in the foglamp unit, below the bumper.

This shot shows the two side lights pretty well. As you can see the drivers side unit next to the headlight is clear but the N/S one is very cloudy. Obviously still legal and intact but rather s/h compared with the new one on the other side:

I stand, well sit, corrected. Been a while since I stood in front of the car, with the indicator(s) flashing. But now you've clarified, I vaguely remember.

Keen to off-load.....

Tail-gate
Bonnet

......if push comes to shove; they can go with the carcass

Also a set of alloys, in good nick, with legal boots (Jorgy expressed an interest in one)
