Selling off one (or bits

) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Chill, everybody....

Peoples written English isn't always perfect, mine included, but as long as it's generally readable and pretty good it's not an issue on a web forum.
The standard of English on this forum is incredibly good compared to some others, even ones where you would expect highly paid, knowledgeable people.
I make LOADS of typos but either catch them on a read through or use automatic spell checker to highlight them.
As long as the posts don't descend into txt spk..m8,

then I'm happy.. The sharing of a conversation is worth a lot more than perfect grammar.

I'm not intending to take any 'side' here and will just agree that this forum has excellent grammar
and always offers engaging always humorous reading throughout all it's threads and rarely if ever
even strays into stuck caps lock. I see occasional confusion on ALL the forums (and notoriously on
ebay where textspeak man lives) where punctuation is a casualty and the interpretation of a
comment can even lead to reading the exact opposite of the intended comment so Jan has a
point though I feel it may be unnecessary here on club-xm.
Eats shoots and leaves indeed...
In this specific example we all read and probably agreed Ian had a great purchase from Steve
with no confusion of the intent of the comment and it read probably as his thoughts were made
as he typed - something a lively and spontaneous site will show up now and then; in truth a far
more better read than a dry and starchy Queen's English text book.
Why not allow Jan to become the official site moderator of punctuation and grammar with
everyone's consent?

Hi all,
I am a wee bit upset at the way this thread is turning out to be. I am slightly dyslectic and sometimes can't even see where I have made a mistake, especially when writing in a hurry trying to get my thoughts across. I contribute to several forums for welding, XM's both forums and printer repair and computer forums, and some of them look as if written by imbiciles compared to this forum.
Would you guys please bury the hatchet! If not I for one will be gone!
Bob.

Anyone want to talk about the ebay LPG Xm then?
There's been no feedback left yet...
and it hasn't been relisted either? (yet!)

It was strong enough money for a car with a supposed seized turbo. But a lot of these e-bay ads have to be taken with a pinch of salt when people claim to know whats wrong with a car.
However, on the surface it looked nice and tidy, nice colour, nice spec, nicely presented.

Well presented yes, poorly executed LPG fitment though too!
I'm still shaking my head thinking about the "stupidity" of fitting the battery in the boot with 10 foot long leads to earth the engine and feed the starter with the additional downside of gasses and acid in the carpeted storage area of the boot? The exchanger isn't THAT large and could surely be fitted in a more efficient spot in the engine bay - even skilled repositioning of the ECU's would be preferable to that Frankenstein setup. Back to the drawing board boys!
Dear Lord...
