SOLD: 1990 XM 2.1 SED for Sale -- C6 ownership imminent!

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

I'm sure the C6 will generally be good, but all PSA cars do seem to suffer with electrical maladies.

As far as testing digital wheel speed sensors, you can do it by feeding the power line with the rated voltage (should be 12v) and using an LED on the return line WRT Gnd and then turn the wheel. The LED should bink on and off.

I too think the XM seats are better than the C6 ones. Being honest, it was the dashboard switchgear and the seats that put me off owning one.
IMHO, Citroen should have ushed the boat out a bit further to make it a true rival to Mercedes. The C6 is quieter than any E class and the dashboard looks great as far as the driver display and general design, but is badly let down by fitting cheap looking switchgear units.

And the transfer is complete! Massive thanks to you James, for the smooth transaction and a well presented, well kept car. The ease of my 150-odd mile drive home this evening speaks volumes for the care you've taken of it, and while I have a few items on a to-do list for it, I'm looking forward most to driving it a lot.

There's no doubt, your C6 is a striking looking car though, and I wish you as much enjoyment from that as I aim to get from the XM.

They are nice.. but costs frighten me.. and things are already nfp..

Having a stock of xm items helps weigh me to the xm ..
As usual, Paul was right!
Yikes! He was certainly right about the tyres, just cost me nearly 1x XM for 4x Michelin Primacy's.

Someone also bashed it's front corner in. All repaired on the other (hit and run driver) insurance. But new front light assy was £1k!

Hope my old XM is doing well with Julian and merry Christmas to all my XM pals on here.

Completely agree, the XM seats are markedly better.
There's a lot about the XM that's better to be honest.

I like the look of C6s but all of the ones I've seen, or even on Ebay, seem to be in dull as dishwater colours, (as too, it seems, are most modern Aston Martins. What is it with grey/black cars?)

However, I love the look of this one;

Currently on Ebay,

If I had the money to spare I'd be tempted.

LG.

It is a bit white white for my taste Lawrence, but certainly distinctive and a great wedding ca! With regards, Matthew T.

It is a bit white white

Good job the thoughtful Citroen designers put a black roof on, otherwise it might have become difficult to find in the snow!

LG.
