As Posting spotted on
E-Bay Spares/Repair ?
E-Bay Seller wrote:Brand new exhaust system (just paid £300 for everything from Cat to the tail pipe)
Maybe worth a bid just for this if price holds low, if someone is needing a replacement soon ?

Doubt it!
It will get puggerised at that price.. NO DOUBT..
so someone needs to save it, but we need pictures! Puggerisers dont care for pics as long as the engine works!

I think this car has been given up on too easily. They thought a new exhaust would cure the blow, when what he needs is a new exhaust manifold gasket.

The price as it is now makes it worth chucking £200 at getting it back for me but its a fair old way away, and its MK2 which i am really not keen on..............nice colour though, and very little work needed by the sounds of it, if he wants it shifting though i have to have pictures, get out, run it up for 15minutes, push the snow off and post some bloody pictures man!

I HAD to ask him about the LPG leak!
Norfolk'n chance!
Lovely colour mind - I've got a few panels in gold metallic too...
the FCF boys reckon a TCT manifold blow is an engine out job; joy,
guess what needs doing on my V plated Activa.

Nope its not, the guy I sold the white TCT manual XM to had his mechanic change the manifold and manifold gasket with the engine in situ. It won't have been easy, but it was do-able. I suppose if you have the engine rocked forward enough, and the drive shafts out, you would have some more room.
But if you pull the engine out you might as well do the clutch and fit a full timing belt kit and waterpump.

Cheers guys. Guess I'm going to lose the gearbox oil removing the driveshafts to gain improved access
to the back of the engine. What's wrong with a dry shaft joint as per the Cx and Gs!!??

Any interest in the car as a spares donor or as a going concern evaporated for me with the seller's couldn't
give a shit reply to a genuine interested question. Damn him, I think he's getting too much for it already.
