XM 3.0l V6 24v available

Hi all
Before I put it on ebay/C&C etc, I wanted to check if anybody from the forum would be interested in purchasing my beautiful XM? I'd rather it went to a proper enthusiast and am willing to sell it for £10K (no offers though please, I hate haggling, so have put my rock bottom price. I'm also happy to wait/keep it). It honestly must be one of the best on the UK.
I'm located near Melton Mowbray in Leics, and have had it since early 2021, after buying it from a guy who had owned it since "nearly-new" (Citroen themselves being the first owner) and looked after it impeccably for 22yrs. I then used it as my daily driver and have done ever since, putting 23K on the clock (only a few thousand in the last year probably, as I retired in June 2023). The mileage now is still ridiculously low at just 56K!

Work done in my ownership:
Regular servicing (one just done last week in fact, along with brakes being cleaned etc to address some recent squealing)
All spheres checked and replaced if needed by Pleides in 2023.
Blaupunkt Bremen DAB and Bluetooth retro-look stereo fitted (over £500) in coin tray space (coin tray still with car), and looks great/in-keeping, but can also be hidden, if wanted, by the wooden flip panel.
NOTE: the Original radio is still present but was disconnected for the Blaupunkt. It was working at the time of disconnection. CD changer is original also and present under passenger seat (this was also working prior to being disconnected).
Any paintwork issues/stone chips etc always addressed, whenever they occurred, at a professional workshop.
Michelin cross climates all round. New steering rack gaiters, front brake discs and pads.
I very recently had a full stainless steel system fitted (cost £1K). I kept the original exhaust as long as I was able (but didn't want to sell it with holes!)

Body and (Mauritius, I think) blue paintwork are nothing short of amazing. Almost without fault. Ever so slight "line" visible (when at an angle in the light) in the paintwork of one rear door (caused by a bar inside the door I'm told, but I don't know and haven't felt the urge to address it, as it definitely doesn't detract from the overall, almost immaculate presentation of the car).
Alloys are original, centreless hub ones, and pristine.

AC climate control works perfectly, as do the electric windows, seat adjusters, heated seats (front and rear), electric armrest, and all other electric bits n pieces.... Including the fantastic tilt and slide sunroof! (which does not leak)

HOWEVER, the cruise control does not work.
When I got the car, there was an intermittent starting issue, which was quickly pinpointed to the auto box inhibitor relay. My mechanic used a short, spaded wire to bypass the relay (which cured the starting issue 100% - the car has NEVER let me down since, in over 20K miles) whilst I looked for a new relay but after initially having difficulty finding one, I never bothered in the end. Note: the cruise control is part of this circuit which may be the reason why it has never worked in my ownership, I don't know. Luckily, cruise control has never been something I use.

Issues for any prospective buyer, (in addition to no cruise control):
The central locking works on three doors (the rear driver's side door needs locking/unlocking manually) although occasionally you have to do it from the passenger side for some reason. The plip stopped working after I changed the batteries in the fob, so it might need reprogramming or something. I got bored trying to do it (or find the problem) and don't mind using the key manually, so this would be a job for the new owner.
The speedo. In the last 3mths, it has started to occasionally stop working during a journey. Apparently, this is a commonly discussed on the forum, with the immediate cure being a tap on the dashboard (this is what I have been doing) and the long term cure involving a solder I believe. Note, it has been happening more often recently, but I'll leave it to any new owner to sort out, cos I'm not very mechanically minded and definitely ain't removing that part of the dashboard, however simple it may seem! (or trusting a garage to either!)
The roof aerial works perfectly but could do with replacing due to some "fraying."
Side airbag warning light occasionally makes an appearance – then goes as quickly as it came on. Loose wire underneath the seat I believe (another common issue, I hear)
Interior is in superb condition (including the headlining) Unbelievably comfortable cream leather seats. Cream carpets with thick rubber mats. Purpose-built rear tray in the boot.

MOT expires March 2025. Serviced every year in my ownership, the first being comprehensive at a Citroen dealer (who were very excited sbout the car) including the spark plugs. Oil (with flush) and filter change just carried out by professional garage.
Lots of receipts and history with car (plus workshop/spec info). As mentioned, the "second" owner bought it almost new from Citroën in 1999 and kept it, (with no expense spared and a load of receipts) until selling it to me in 2021.
This has been my daily driver for 3.5yrs now, and tbh, I never thought I'd sell it, but the bucket list of cars I have to own isn't going down, so I need to sell the current car before I can replace with another from my list (eg a CX, RR Silver Spirit, SD1, Lotus Esprit S1-3, to name a few).

Anyone interested, feel free to Whatsapp or text me on 07800 815905. I can reply with pictures of the car.
Cheers, Spen
