Maybe its a sign of things to come. Either prices seriously on the up, or a lack of supply.

Or they've all gone on holiday...robert_e_smart wrote:Maybe its a sign of things to come. Either prices seriously on the up, or a lack of supply.

One of the ones on Car and Classic is from Savoy and with a definite price hike, so I guess things must be looking up a bit as Malcolm's cars are generally well priced I think.

That Xantia will have the nice cable operated gearbox and hydraulically assisted clutch. The best of both worlds.

If i'm going to have to put up with all that hydraulic trickery, I would like a bit of room to go with it.

Re: Its official!
What Peter - the trickery you know works reliably on Xm's?
Biggest shock I ever had with a Xantia (after failing strut tops) was parking one beside a Cx and
an Xm; either they're huge or the 'bigger' cars are smaller than I thought! Pretty much the
main difference in the length of them all is the longer front overhang (no double entendre intended).
The Xantia is hugely generous in the aperture of it's rear doors and good for space in the back and
has an excellent boot with wide access there too. The only real penalty in size is cabin width. The
Xantia feels significantly more wieldy to hustle and is a rewarding car to punt about the twisties
where I live especially in Activa set up; I believe they are a very good alternative Citroen to an Xm.

Re: Its official!

That said, would they fit in your Beemer either; IIRC the Xant estate
seen as a direct competitor to it?
I DO know that the engine crane/hoist I have fits in the Xant estate
well and the only other car that swallows this is a Cx Safari.
