Hi Peter,
Nice to see you've mastered the 'Linky'/Text' thingy now !

....
IF you're
really serious about this 2.1 MANUAL, because have you noticed it's a little shorter in length to what your normally looking for ? (it's NOT an Estate) !
I could E-Mail the seller and provided it's not east of the centre of Nott's (i.e. it needs to be west of, as I'm in Derby) to take a look/once over + additional photo's, also check out whats actually written on the list of the two MOT failure sheets and the one advisory sheet !
So if so let me know by PM so that I can arrange it, if needed ?

Shortly before MOT the middle and rear sections of the exhaust were replaced with new (£245), and a new battery fitted (£60)
Must be worth £150 just in scrap value and then you've got yourself a virtually mid/back exhaust system and battery too for free !
Also note it has the additional/complimentary rear corner panel damage that have been on another couple of XM saloon's that have been for sale of late.

Hi XMX
I have mailed the owner to see if its had a head gasket since he has had it, it should have done by now, if so I might be interested. I suspect it has an EPIC pump, as far as I know the last ones with the Bosch mechanical wer the Jan 96 ones which I have, manuals after that were very rare.
If it had been an estate I would have been on my way up there now. Thanks for the offer but we have friends in Heanor so if I decide to look at it I could stay there, or at least drop in for my tea so the traffic has abated by the time I return

I've done it before.
The texty thingy I was apparantly doing right all along, its just that I didn't realise that it wouldn't work until you had actually posted it

Hi Peter,
Its Epic. But a new wing would sort a lot of those problems at the front end. But its worth scrap value, maybe a little more.

Okay Peter,
That's fine that you have a stop-off at Heanor !
If your not so bothered as its a Saloon, I will extend the offer to other forum member if required ?
BTW on the 'Linky' thing I was having a laugh with you (Take a closer look

) !

The MOT test was conducted at Woodlinkin Citroen centre.

Peter,
That's just up the road from Heanor
That's probably why :-
E-Bay Seller wrote:
Garage estimated cost of £350 to get through MOT, (includes tyre...) .....
Another/none Citroen/Indy garage would probably cost double that as the garage proprietor (Emanuele) is very competent with Citroen's and very reasonable on repair costs !

I've strained by eyes for ages trying to read the poor scans of the x3 sheets and note the 2 bold *DANGEROUS*
comments. One seems to be the parking brake a the there's a few donkey ones like wipers, side lights and
brake lights. There seems to be a lot of entries for both offside and nearside sides too..

If that front wing support has failed so spectacularily, and most of the wing rotting with it, whats the rest of the shell going to be like. Rear subframe mounts, sills....
