Selling off one (or bits

) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

This has just been posted on XM-L
Hi folks,
Apologies for my absence over the last couple years, but I just haven't had the time to devote myself to the world of XM ownership. The result of this is that I'm considering selling my 1992 24v.
I've not made a decision yet, because I really don't want it to go, and I know I'd regret it sometime in the future. However, if it's likely that it will find a better home than I'm able to give it at the moment, maybe I should....
It's in Emerald Green, with an excellent black leather interior. I'm it's second owner, having had it for seven years; it's got about 142,000 miles on it and still runs beautifully. Lack of use means there's probably some little jobs to do, but I don't see any major reason why it wouldn't pass an MoT (I'll probably put it through one some time soon.) Bodywork does have some marks, and one damaged wing which ought to be replaced, but it wouldn't take much effort to get it immaculate again.
I'll add some more information and take some photographs if I do decide to sell but, in the mean time, are there any expressions of interest here? Or any thoughts about what it might be worth? Or does anyone want to tell me how stupid I'm being even thinking of selling it...?
I'm in South Wales, btw, near Abergavenny.
Joe.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear, why do I want so many cars? Emerald Green is that quite light metallic green isn't it? It would mean selling my 16v, hmmmmm
Is this an auto or manwel?

drool indeed. This is silly! God up there is having a laugh. Although I really, really do want this car, I know I'd regret selling my BX 16v, so, I have to turn away and pretend 'nothing ever happened'.
That's a lovely looking car Mr H, same colour as my Dads TCT. I thought it was called Triton Green for some reason

Thanks Geoff.
Was your Diesel XM that you're having problems with the Silver one that was on eBay a couple of years ago in Wakefield?

It was indeed an ebay sell, it was Charlie who bought it and would of bought it nearly 3 years ago, I think from Halifax. It's very alarming getting out of the plasticky C5 and sitting in the Xm and realising she's gonna be scrapped, and yet stupidly I'd happily spend £150 odd on a new clutch for the C5 and do it myself. A strange world
