Rather than send to the scrapyard.....

Anyone interested in a silver XM 2.5TD VSX - 94 on an M plate. 173,000 miles when parked on my drive (Norfolk/Suffolk border) and since unused in Feb 09. Due to not being started for 18 months, it now won't start and I don't have time to find out why. Everything worked before I stopped using it as my day to day car and it was averaging 39 mpg. I bought it at 122,000 miles - it wasn't perfect, but wasn't bad either. If anyone is interested, let me know - I can tell you more that way. Also......any ideas where I can find a throttle position sensor for a W plate 2.1 TD auto with cruise control (lucas epic I think - my fathers car)

Come and have a look and make me an offer. I know it's not valuable, but to the right person it's worth something.

Geoff is scrapping Battlescar with Epic.

If all else fails go and see Danny at WHM, he will have one and might be more amenable on price face to face.

Check the part numbers on XM throttle pots.
There are reports that early and late 2.1 had different pots.
Also that 2.5 ones are different again.
All have the same type of electrical plug but wire allocations can vary.

Archietech, if you pm me the Vin on your fathers XM I can at least check on the Cit service website. I kept the one off my Xantia as well so you may be in with a chance. Both are Epic 2.1 TDs...
