Yep, nice!

I've bought a nice v6 of the guy last year.
I'd better start scraping the pennies together now...

So good that it has two sets of leather seats, and two cruise controls

In all seriousness though, what a cracking car, AND in black too, it really is the daddy alright.

Makes me wish I was DerekW

Shiny isn't it, I wish mine looked like that. :( I think I will have to polish it.

Hi

There is some fabulous "ebay" speak here. Porsche tuned engine?? BS. Oh and how accurate do you think the rest of the advert is if the owner thinks that the car has timing chains not a belt.

As always it's what is not said that is the interesting bit. 40K replacement engine and gearbox. Yep but what mileage had they done before fitting? - were they new? - also what mileage had the car done before the new engine/gearbox?

Having said that - great cars black 24v XM's!

Cheers

Tony

Hang on,

the speedo was new, not the engine and box which mean the 'true' mileage of the mechanicals is 40k?
Agree with the bibble bobble first sentence - lifted straight out of some magazine crap written by
someone who's never even seen an Xm...

I would say the seller is a true enthusiast and came across just like many regulars on this forum;
maybe he's playing up to the ebay morons - seems to be working looking at the bidding.

Hi Andrew

Agreed the seller seems absolutely genuine just somewhat imprecise. You could read this advert 3 different ways

1. The car has done a total of 40K miles.
2. The car has done 40K on a new engine and gearbox + unspecified mileage previously
3. The car has done 40K miles on a replacement engine and gearbox + unspecified mileage previously

If I was buying it I'd want to know which one it was! I think it's probably version 2 but who knows.

I'd be interested if I didn't already have a black 24v!

Cheers

Tony

They say 'go and see it' very sensible I would think at that price! I go and see them for a lot less money than that. :o
