The water level detector on the coolant header tank on my 2.5 has disintegrated so need a replacement in good condition, Citroen want silly money for one. Currently holding it in place with cable ties but it won't last.

Part number is 1306C3

Thanks
Nigel

Hi Nigel

Are these two ebay offerings of any interest? (search used = "xm level"). Part numbers are different, so they could only be suitable for non 2.5Td model headers?

Thanks for that but unfortunately they're both slightly different but different enough not to be compatible. I do have one from a TCT but its different as well. Seems the 2.5 ones are specific to that model.

Not For Purchase I think.

Secretly I think this mean that 5-10 of each it are kept in a hidden stock unit somewhere incase some important psa big wig needs a part, or the museums...

NFP = No Further Production.

It's worth phoning one of the Citroen UK owned dealers, such as Glasgow, Edinburgh (I think!) and Manchester and asking them to check the entire dealer network for stock as sometimes there's one hiding on a shelf somewhere.

David.

The temporary repair is working well, I think i'm going to hit the scrapyards to see if I can find something to adapt and fit.
