Not so cheap when you have to re-pipe the back end and put a diesel engine in it to make it useable!

But if you happen to have a rusty green 2.1td estate, could be tempting.....................
Are the rear hydraulic pipes the same?

Its a 16v lump not a TCT... Arent the 16v units half good, or they just as bad as the TCT?

The 16 valvers are better than the tct.

16Vs are nice, still no 12V 2.1!!!
Pipes are all the same, but the 2.0 16v were all antisink. If you were going to the trouble of swopping subframes, it would be worth re-piping it.

Any of you partial to a pair of tighty whities/knee sock/Nike air Jarusalem combo by any chance? im just dying to hear why the 2.1td is better than the psa 16v which is better in turn than the TCT.
Come on i could do with a laugh, next you will all be saying the 2.5Td was the worst diesel of the 90's

, sometimes i wonder why some of you dont just remove the engine altogether and just cut a big hole in the floor and go the full flintstones.....................

From my point of view the 16 valve offers most of the power of the tct, but is more refined and uses less fuel.

i prefer derv from a NON laughing point of view... um. no plug... no spark.. no electronics.. 200% less chance of a breakdown... better fuel consumption...much longer engine life.... better in gear acceleration.. no need to mess with the gear stick... and as far as im concerned at 40k in one year 20 - 25 mpg just cannot be justified compared to 40 - 45 mpg even with the difference in fuel price... a derv engine is much more relaxed.. non of this rev the balls of crap to get going either..
i just do not get paid enough to run a petrol as a daily runner..
you can laugh. shout. moan all you like.. if i was a millionaire then maybe that may be different.. but im not and for me its derv
