Ah yes. Another fab car destined for the slaughter for its engine
because of the moron Puggeriser Activa Despatchers! :(

The value of these engines second hand means it will sell for 450.
And there were only 234 facelift late series Activas registered in RHD.
I'd love to save it and it's 12 miles away from me too!!

Like the XM's is it not like to be the Manifold itself thats cracked?????

If so, Ive a couple of turbos here, but weither they'd fit a later V plater.. may be worth saving, could you then collect and shelter her then Andrew?? :D :D

Ive got a V6 now, collecting it end of the month.. :D

So just an Activa and Ive just about had them all ....

You'll love the V6 Xantia Paul - was this that blue one that went through ebay over the weekend then?
To complete the "set" you'll really need a Cx in varying flavours...

I've contacted the Activa man as curiosity got the better of me but haven't heard back yet!
We'll see first if the car is something to get excited about...

I was very tempted by that myself - would've done more about it too if I'd not had a haemorrhaging
of funds and car safety/storage issues among several other issues...

now having caught up with things (a bit) my only real reservation is the lack of a sunroof and the not too
insignificant distance between myself and it!! Anyhow.; my loss is your gain!

The mileage is a bit bizarre. Has it had a new window yet and been removed out of the long grass? :o

We worked out that its had new clocks.. we found service history to 40k in the car, so we assume its had new clocks then, so total milage we reckon about 60k..

I love the V6 but still think an Activa is better; I REALLY need to fit a replacement engine
into the dead on it's feet black A6 TVA - I'm guessing new bearing shells would be a tad
optimistic on a knocking bottom end after all...

yes, too easy putting another car on the road!!  That's why I've just taxed it for
another 6 months as a motivation to get my ass into gear to fix it and start enjoying it again
- one thing mind; the fuel economy is dire on the Activa and surprisingly decent on the V6 so
that'll be a big plus point.

I feel slightly claustrophobic in the cars without sunroofs - especially in the very hot weather;
even with just the blind back and/or tilted up to vent the air out - I'm not that tall to suffer
from lack of headroom.
