1991 CITROEN XM V6 SEI AUTO

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130739469255? ... 26_rdc%3D1

Interesting 'look' to it with black bubble roof and questionable body kit
- shades of SD1 Vitesse front bumper spoiler which I like but I don't go for
the rest of the skirts!

By the sounds of things the cills didnt take too kindly to the skirts either, it would be a tempting prospect for a reshell depending on how bad the rust is, lets face it MK1's are getting thin on the ground as it is, V6's even more so, we shall see how the price goes.

Was wondering if someone was going to "spot" this.

It's not far away, and it's got a bodykit too... Shame there's no centre-caps for the wheels. I reckon the 'kit would look quite smart painted, say, Black on a Black Prestige... ;)

However, I wonder what reserve he's got on it... I remember it being on Gumtree ages ago and was rotten then - IIRC around £900.

More rotten now and been on eBay before for around that price.
Aren't those Volvo T5 alloys? IMPO, the only V6's worth getting
excited about are manuals (12 as well as 24v)!

If the sills have gone I'd be betting that there's more hiding too...

Oh absolutely, the PRV 24v is the best of the bunch. :D :D ;)

This is the one - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2741&p=27714&hilit=bodykit#p27714

Also it's in the V6 12V Register Thread - viewtopic.php?p=29416#p29416
J158 TPF - 3.0 SEi 12v Auto - Silver - Bodykit - Chipped - Alloys - Currently For Sale needing welding and strut work - SORN. ?
Bit more info from here too - viewtopic.php?p=29375#p29375

It's in generally fair condition, has a full bodykit, including bonnet vents and black roof but the sills and o/s strut top are very shot.

It's for sale if anyone is interested.

That's interesting to know that you've got one of those bodykits Paul - I bet that's a rare thing nowadays. A friend that has a couple of XMs who lives locally has got some 17" alloys that came off of a TCT Manual that he has. Looked suprising good with them on actually...!

I'm pretty sure I'll be able to find the reg for that modded car - watch this space...

A 12v manual was my first Xm - the '89 pewter grey metallic car on my signature.
Totally adore it and it's quite an animal before even considering the oomph of a 24v!

Are you keen enough to buy the eBay car then Franklin??

It's going to be too dear - goodness knows what reserve it's got on it... If it was sans reserve, I'd be considering it as there's some nice parts on it.

Still, I know where there's another bodykit... ;)

I'm not sure a TCT has the 'go' to warrant a bodykit mind; a v6 auto will struggle!! lol

Luckily the Prestige isn't a TCT then... ;) Motor's along well for the 2.0i 8v engine actually...

More of a luxury cruiser is the Prestige - all out speed is CX GTi Turbo or XM PRV 24v...

This car is generally a bit rough. The rust in the sills is terminal for the sills and the strut tops are shot.

The seller is a decent enough chap, but I can't see it making what he wants, even with my old auto gear lever in the boot. ;)

The bodykit would be an interesting proposition, but obviously isn't too kind to the car it's fitted to.
