Parts wanted

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Headlight MOST deafenatly!

Nose Cone, S1 or S2?? I only have a pile of S1 Nose Cones in various colours, they will fit each way, just the chevrons are off set and smaller on S1 nose cones...

If it's Mauritius blue it has to be a Series 2.

Hi all S1 & S2 nose can be interchanged, but light units have differing inboard mounting lug requiring modification if intermixing different series lights and nosecones.

Not really an issue unless you really really want the nose screwed down stupidly. By that I mean, two screws on the outer edges, plus the four along the top? Its not going to fall off really is it...

Im glad you put that Robert, as I never knew really what the difference was, as none of my XM's have this part screwed down..

You can't fit a series 2 nosecone to series 1 lights, but can the other way round.

My SEi must have series Two headlights then, as mine has one!

Maybe it's had a doner grille and lights off a series 2 car, after having a bump.

Possibly, but I dont care, the headlights were BRILLIANT for an XM... and the nose was one of the only few things I prefer on a Series 2...

In my experience its only when you mix the headlights and insist on fitting the centre screws that things look odd with the nosecone.
Screws then pull the nosecone skew.
