Just browsing Ebay Germany, seems over there they are keen to find Bendix ABS sensors too
However,
THIS ONE still works out a bit cheaper then some on ebay in the UK...

Mathew,
Whats general body like and MOST importantly the strut tops like under the wings, how do these things stack up for a german car??
Im wondering if they are in better condition, buying one and converting it to RHD with a rotton car from the UK....
No no no... Im giving myself more stupid redicilous ideas... A hdi is silly enough...

Hi Paul,
As previously suggested the bodywork is surprisingly good, which I mainly put down to a combination of the fairly low mileage, an absence of road salt and the late registration - effectively it is an early 1993 car. The cills appear solid and the only fragile bit is at the bottom of one wing where the mud gets stuck behind. I can confirm that the strut tops are good on both sides with no corrosion or perished rubber.
If you are going to import a lhd car make it a S1 V6 and keep it intact. Some while ago I was also very tempted by a 1993 24v with cream leather and a blown head gasket for 400e and a 1989 12v for similar money, both with under a 100k!!
With regards,
Matthew T.

I don't think i'm brave enough to do what you've just done Matthew! However I like the sound of a 24v with cream leather.
But if it means sourcing comparatively better cars over the pond, then so be it. And after all you get Diravi if you buy a V6....
