Well He is WRONG!
Multi Ribbed belt Pumps were not fitted to ANY XM untill S2 cars...
All early cars were V belt!
Thats a Xantia Multi Ridge belt Pump..
some N reg S2 2.1 TD XM cars had these type of pumps and all 2.5 TD XM...

Hi Paul,
I too thought the same, but as I've only ever owned one 2.1TD S1.5 (With the 'V' belt drive) I wasn't 100% sure, now that I'm more into my 2.5 TD's !
