1995 2.1TD Exclusive Auto Hatchback White For Sale (E-bay)

As title listing (N673 WMO) spotted For Sale on E-bay as a Classified listing £1600 !

Nice looking early Exclusive having the Alacantra/Velour upholstery and 24 Valve alloys fitted !

Shame there's no under bonnet shots but going by the general condition hopefully they shouldn't be any surprises
(i.e. suspension strut-top mounts) !

For sale as misses has bought me a 2.5 with leather but doesn't want to have a spare one on the drive damn shame

This XM was purchased at Wolsey House complete with service history docs 01/07/2010 having been through their workshop

It is nice and clean inside and out

Been a good regular daily drive and has been kept regularly serviced every 6k last service was full so next (144k) is only due oil and filter

in addition to servicing it has had a few bits and bobs done as required but nothing major
hydraulic pump drive belt, timing belt+tensioner kit and aux belt pulley,front spheres,front brakes and tyres,both parking brake cables,a wheel bearing,a rack gaitor,and laser wheel alignment

has mot and nearly a whole years tax to boot

for sale as shown in pics except i plan to remove tow bar that i got fitted for my bike rack
sale should include near side head lamp washer nozzle that i am waiting for in post

That's correct Will, as stated by the sellers description (Which I'd posted /\ , if you'd bothered to have read it)

Hi All,
Went to have a look at this after visiting citrojim who replaced my gear indicator light (Thanks Jim) quite a nice car and was thinking of buying it when on a engine bay inspection (very clean,put mine to shame) i noticed the drivers side strut top was about a inch higher than the passenger side and moved about when the steering wheel was turned as where as the passenger side did not and i surmised that the rubber was failing quite badly to which i informed Dave it needed replacment Strut tops (Kingas refurbes possibly) and out of my league, The rest of the car appeared to be in good condition.

If you've checked it over and if it was that bad the actually sphere must have been riding on the underside of the 'Bulk-head lip' ?

However, the seller (Dave) opinion seems to differ from yours

Added photos of strut top mounts viewed from underneath to show they are not knackered out

Shame he didn't load up photo's of the topsides, neither the less the photo /\ is showing the symptom of the the gaiter pulling/dropping off !

Also it may have now been sold as the E-bay listing has ended showing it has been sold for £800 with only one bid, however the Gumtree listing is still 'Live' showing an asking price of £1600

Has anyone off the forum bought this vehicle (Who then could confirm) ?

If so, irrespective if it did need one or both strut tops changing out, it looks like a very nice example to own !

Those strut tops look perfect from underneath. TBH, I would be surprised if Danny would sell a car with duff strut tops.
Movement is normal, it's why they have the rubber.
