Hi all
Having had the ABS sensor and fuel leak fixed I've decided to put mine up for sale on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0424589838
As mentioned in the listing, I won't be too disappointed if it doesn't sell - I simply fancy a change for something else 'interesting' and sadly C6s are still beyond my means just now.
Good luck if you decide to bid
Keith

You've got a nice car there - what sort of ballpark are you aiming at with outright sale/reserve etc?
Indidentally, why not go backwards in time rather than forwards!

Hi Keith
The car is a credit to you and with a well presented add like that i should imagine the sale of this lovely car is inevitable, good luck

Thanks guys for the comments.
Andrew I must confess that I've always hankered after a S2 CX Prestige. Remember seeing one in a pale metallic blue when I was about 10 - it was a very late almost new one in a small town in southwest Scotland. Anyway, I was amazed at the seemingly unreal amount of rear room. That one's nice although the miles are a a tad steep for me. I'm ideally wanting something with a strong history and a max of 70k miles.
Actually things under consideration (as and when I can find them!) are:
CX 25 Prestige (Series 2)
CX 25 TRI or TGI Safari (late as possible)
Alfa 166 3.0 V6 Sportronic (had one of these before but it wasn't a good one and the ride was shocking on 'upgraded' 19" wheels)
Jaguar Sovereign 4.0 (X300 variety and LWB)
Renault Vel Satis 3.5 Initiale (yep, you read that right)
Renault Avantime 3.0 Privilege (I know, I know)
Subaru SVX (I know, I know again!)
Vauxhall Signum 3.2 Elite (not sure if I'd enjoy having a Vectra with a nicer bum though)
Volvo S80 T6 Geartronic (bit dull maybe)
Other suggestions welcome - only real criteria are big boot (er, yeah, I know there's an SVX on the list); biggish engine (I'm not anti-diesel, despite these all being petrol); and something not run of the mill.
Cheers
Keith

When you made the change from Xant Exclusive to Xm Exclusive, how do you compare the
abilities and character of the two cars sharing the 24v v6 with the auto adaptive box? I've
got the Xantia and am intrigued by the Xm version! Fortunately I do have a s1 Xm 24v but
the manual does alter comparisons when living with both on a daily basis.

Well someone got a real bargain come the 75k miles service
"10/10/07 | Service (including replacing cambelt; idlers; gearbox oil; lubcrication of ride height linkages; new accumulator sphere; heater panel bulb) | 75403 miles | BL Autos & Sons Ltd | £411.29"
That's a seriously cheap canmbelt change never mind the gearbox oil and sphere.

Is this a first ----- 'enjoy' and 'Vectra' in the same sentence ? !! If you want a Vauxhall that meets your criteria, look no further than a PC Cresta or Viscount -- must have had one of the biggest boots of any UK made car, ever. 3.3 straight six and certainly not run of the mill. Leave out the complete absence of parts, extensive tin worm and a tendency to get a bit warm over 70 and I reckon you're sorted.
Mike.

Damn right, there must be a 1 or even a 2 missing off the front or did they have "happy hours"
at that BL Autos & Sons? I need to give them a ring for my Xantia's belt! Something I
NEED to get
sorted imminently.
