I just discovered that the kickdown cable is badly frayed in a couple of places. The obvious one is where it runs around the wheel on top of the injection pump & I had planned to simply splice a new piece of cable in for that. However, I've just discovered another frayed area just inside the cable outer-cover where it attaches to the pump. So I need either a new or good used cable or a replacement inner cable. Anyone got some thing suitable or know how best to repair? Steve

Ohh does your car have a Bosch pump?

Arent all Autos either Bosch or Lucas Epic Robert? and the EPIC wont have a kick down cable wropped around a pully.. So, Id say YES it is a bosch fuel system..

The Lucas Epic does have an elaborate pulley system, too. I'm just worried the cables are different lengths.

Yea I wasn't certain Robert... but the give away was the "wrap around a pully ON TOP of the PUMP"

Gonna have to get used to the "EPIC" engine bay, my Mates friend has bought an R reg estate with Epic auto in it.... Oooerrrrrr.....

Just for info, service Citroen has differnet kickdown cable lengths for each engine option.

I SOOOO want one of those Thermostat houses to put on an early 2.1 TD instead of the awfull canister setup...

Have you one spare Robert.. (I know, I know, its NOT theroetically a thermostat house, thats round the back)
