1998 Citroen XM CT Estate available almost free in Suffolk

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

1998 Citroen XM CT Estate available almost free in Suffolk

I’m urgently looking for a home for a Citroen XM (which just happens to be my old car - and well know in its day around the Citroen Car Club - as it had a triple head light conversion - and had a rather unique number plate). The car has been in the rather poor care of a builder for the last 5 years, and now needs a load of TLC. Its about to be taken away by the council under warrant – so the car needs to be scrapped or sold ASAP.

I just can’t see her scrapped!

The good bits is that she has an almost straight body (never accident damaged – but does now have a couple of dings), the triple headlight conversion, and has been mechanically maintained reasonably well. Some re-plumbing was done last year. The bad bits are that shes’s now in need of a new interior (or a very good clean of the existing one/new driver’s seat) and has numerous electrical gremlins with mirrors and windows, and an ignition lock . She also has bids of body plastic trim missing (top window seal etc, and other door trims broken).
I’m told she runs, has two months tax and MOT until December (need to check that).

I’m happy to pay the owner the tiny amount he wants for her (not much more than a tank of super unleaded) - but really can't add a fifth car to my own collection right now...

Especially one that I would want to spend ca$h on getting back towards a good concourse condition.

If anyone is interested, please PM me. The car is in Woodbridge, Suffolk, and parked in Seckford Street.

Thanks!

Is it maybe worth saving even as a breaker or stick a 2.1td in to make more desirable for such low money it could be bought and stuck on eBay and go for a lot more surely?!
