I saw that Robert. The Activa despatchers are hopeless sad gits - I've lost count of the number of
ebay auctions where the phrase unfinished project precede their auction listing for the deathtrap
shopping trolley/bling charriot.

Muppet on ebay wrote:205 gti 2ltr turbo unfinished project
• still logbooked as 1.9
• xm 2ltr turbo engine still starts an drives
• bottom ends knocking (left the dipstick out so it threw all its oil out hence the knocking)
• only have bottom part of v5 hpi clear though
Grrrr, so why can't I have a 12bore shotgun again?

Hang on a mo, in one bit he says the bottom end is knocking - then in the next he says the engine starts and drives!!
I wouldn't drive a knocking engine!!
Not sure the insurance would like the engine change too, the log book's not been updated...

Do they not realise how much better an Activa is than an old Peugeot 205!!

You could drive a knocking engine to move the car - especially if you know the lot's scrap iron anyway.
The dead Activa engine I've got would need a reground crank and new big ends though it starts fine and runs.
Just daren't get the engine above 1800rpm as the real knocking starts so the whole bottom end is scrap.
Sadly, I've heard or 3 of these engines doing the very same thing now so the oil supply is critical even when
it's only starved momentarily.
There's more to all this Paul, maybe I'll drop you a pm and explain sometime!

It is a hateless past time that these people have. I like the 205, but not when these pricks destroy other cars to try and make 'em go faster.
Why don't they grow up, and buy a 405 Mi16, a BX 16Valve or an Activa isntead of pissing about.
If the 205 isn't fast enough, buy a car that is fast!!
