This looks good value.

It needs a Steuergerät, anyone know what that it is exactly? Height corrector?

To me it looks like it has been flooded or something. The interior is mouldy and the crud under the bonnet doesn't look too great.

All leather interiors get mouldy if left standing for some while. A quick wipe with dilute bleach or cleaner soon fixes it.

It says "One control unit defective. The vehicle is capable of rolling"

SMALL bit of detail missing, its a PRV 24v!

DONT assume that a scruffy rocker cover means a bad engine!! You WAIT till you see my rocker cover on my 24v!! And that is with just standing!

This is a VERY late 24v then! Didn;t know the engine had made it into the S2 cars. I know the 12v PRV had..

Yes Paul thats why I flagged it up - a very rare beasty!

Maybe someone will bring it over from Germany and get it going at that price. It won't be me, been there done that, once is enough!

Considering that the engine ECU box is open it must be one of the units there that's faulty. If it's a runner, it could well be the suspension ECU.

20 May 1994 if the RP number is anything to go by. RP6402. So that would make sense then having the early 24v unit.

The PR 24v Quad Cam 24v ESj engine didnt come till 1996/7 .. but Im sure theres a Gap between the last PRV 24v and the ESj 24v engines in the XM run..
