I've had to disconnect the front cigar lighter socket because it was blowing any fuse I put in and knocking the radio out with it. When i tipped the socket upside down a small piece of black plastic about 3/4cmx3/4cm dropped out so I suspect that it's a bit of the socket (insulation?) that's been broken by regularly putting a sat nav charger in and taking it out. Since removing the socket the fuse is holding out and the radio's working fine. So does anybody have a spare, working, cigar socket they can sell me? Don't know if they were the same on all models but this is '95 S2 Exclusive.
BTW how do I get the panel off? There doesn't look to be much give in the socket connector leads, at least not enough to pull them through the socket hole and connect them ex-situ.
