Another attempt to pass on my XM for spares or repair. Had it been on ebay and winning bidder pulled out apparently due to family bereavement. It is a XM VSX TD estate in dark green. Failed MOT based on rot in the rear mountings and several bushes needed replacement. This was in November. I can get the report from the MOT centre. Until this point the car drove beautifully and in daily use. I have charged the battery over the past 4 months but it seems prone to loosing charge and the alarm has now started playing up so I have disconnected the battery. Starts on the button. I had a leak in the heating pipes in the drivers footwell and this has been repaired.

I also have the following additional parts :

Used Fog lamps L&R
Used Rear lights Wing mounted and tailgate mounted both sides

Brand new front bumper - unsrayed
Two used front wings - reasonable condition
Rear brake disks - new
Various switches taken from my old series 1
Forgot to mention second hand nose cone in dark blue if that's what what you call it

Just look to claw back some of the costs. I had intended to refurbish the car but I don't have the time of the skill. Very sorry to give up on it.

Hi Martin,
Is the front under-bumper (valance) still available, and if so, at what price and where d'you live? I'm assuming it's the same as the (broken) one on my V6 Exclusive (see Badgered Radiator thread under the Petrol Engine heading) By all means send me a PM if you'd prefer?

There you go Mark !
If Martin does not respond, I have a front bumper from a MK2 VSX in Magenta with 'Headlamp Jet-wash' feature, as yours is an Exclusive model I'm sure that you'll have that feature on your XM!

Just to remind folk (If you look carefully) Martin's new front bumper has the 'Cut-out feature' for the Headlamp jet-wash, so it'd be no good for a MK2 without that feature !
