Hi gang,

I was impressed with the Lexia that a FCF member showed me today, I fancy one of my own, but where should I get one from?

I've found this online which looks good, but i've no idea if it's any good or not.

Any advice?

They come in various "clone" versions.
The key bit is the main pod pcb usually not visible in any adverts.
This can be fully component populated or minimum components for basic functionality.
FCF did some opened up photo Lexia recommendations a few years ago.

The advert you identified includes a round plug to 30pin oblong PSA plug in the photo.
Essential for Mk2 XM reading but that lead is not included in the advert text list.
Note one of the buyers reported set up problems with some of the programs.
Quite a few Lexia buyers get similar problems.

My advice would be to use the FCF reading service for a while yet to let you research available Lexias a bit more.

John

Good point, the problem I have is the nearest Lexia is about 15 miles away and I will probably need to make multiple visits to get to the bottom on the fault, I really don't want to put the guy to that much trouble!

I've taken some advice and bought a more expensive one with a later edition Diagbox. Can't wait to try it out!

Hopefully the XM doesn't have a self destruct function as I'm sure to find it and click on it.
