It's been on Ebay for months and was originally posted up for £995 IIRC.
Perhaps the base spec is harming its chances?

I wonder if it's fear. I'm willing to bet that someone in the market for an XM would rather pay a four-figure sum thinking that'll improve their chances of getting a good one. Below a grand, I think the 'banger' brigade are too scared of complicated problems.

I don't think there are many people willing to pay very much at all, buying XMs seems to have become a specialist niche market. I have a quite reasonable 2.1 estate in the field which I am hoping one day to put back on the road but the more time elapses the less likely it becomes. It needs a new windscreen for the MOT otherwise it fairly good apart from some rust round the wheel arches. I would be prepared to do the work and sell it on at cost + scrap value and MOT but I doubt that anyone would want to buy it.

Just spotted that on Ebay. Got some battle scars though. Not too far from where I live so might take a look if I get time.
