Wanted. Spare wheel carrier for my car. The cover part must be in damn good condition.

Ill shall have a look this week im off for three days to try and get some cars sorted etc...

Chances are most if not all have some rot on them unless the car has been in dry undercover storage for a good few years of its life as they just collect and hoard the water in them with the muck that gets onto them from being at the rear in a big empty space. I've only seen two that have been in A1 condition in recent years and those cars were certainly pampered compared to most XM's

The steel part of the carrier is fine, rusty but solid. The cover is slowly falling apart tbh. The option is there to remove the cover, have the carrier shotblasted and replaced without a cover, to bodge the one that's on back to a presentable state or to get one made.

But first things first.

Just remake the tray from plastic then or leave it off and use a thick bag round the wheel and Jack kit

Easier option I reckon but worth trying anyway:)
