I am having to sell my W reg V6.

Good points:

Good nearly rust free body.
Fairly straight bodywork and paint.
Good leather interior
2 working elec windows and sunroof
working aircon & cruise
Cd Multichanger
99% working LH dot matrix
2 X 6 month old tyres
Tow bar
Had a brand new (not refurbed) auto box 50 k miles ago, has had frequent fluid changes since.
Good engine.

Bad points:

Needs steering ram
several hydraulic leaks
2 snapped window cables (both passenger side)

Unfortunately I havnt got the funds to fix it and need to replace it as soon as possible. Open to sensible offers.
Car is drivable for a very short distance (bedfordshire). MOT until October.

I have been looking for a while nearly bought an S1 V6 24v but my wife has insisted on an auto. Now I'm about to commit sacrilege: the car is going to become a series 1 in every respect. Dash door trims, wood, steering wheel nose, spoiler and wheels. Collecting the S1 interior from a forum member tomorrow.

Now I need some help! I bought the car having tracked down a power steering ram and pipework (unique to the late 24v and 2.5 TD) but now I am told that the ram I had found is also scrap. So does anybody have one or know where I can find one? I also want to track down a set of the original S1 alloys with the big plastic hub caps and technical design.

Any help gratefully received. This car will join my CX 25 GTi Turbo 2 Familiale with Prestige spec interior known as the Flying Cigar and my daughters immaculate AX 1.1 with 38000miles from new on our fleet.
