Package from France!!

I have just received a package of S1 V6 engine and gearbox spares from Frederic in France, who I thoroughly recommend for those elusive early parts. The prices were quite reasonable and service very cordial and efficient. By some miracle a brand new genuine Citroen/Peugeot auto flex plate was available still in original packaging and needless to say the item is no longer supplied by main dealers. Regards, Matthew T.

A bit like Christmas really Rob and I concentrated on the rarer, most likely to need, or current need items. The flex plate has taken my 1990 12v auto of the road and the German 24v is leaking water in the 'v', which I assume means the metal heater pipes have rotted out. I have had a gearbox water oil cooler fail in the past and the other water hoses were short in my collection. With regards, Matthew T.

You have to take your hat off to yourself Matthew for that haul...and for the connection you have in France.

These parts would be almost impossible to find without someone like that over there

Many thanks Vince and engine parts for S1 V6 are indeed now very hard to find and increasingly one has to look abroad. I previously found a very helpful chap in Germany who sent me a number of crucial items. As I hope to run and repair at least some V6 XM into my dotage I need to stock up now really! By a complete coincidence I obtained the details for Frederic on Leboncoin and made contact just before Will posted up about his visit!! With regards, Matthew T.

Im sure ive got a couple of the top rad hoses about and also the heater matrix hoses.. but though of course 24v prv heater matrix hoses are unique again on rhd cars and have a metal centre section..

So LHD matrix hoses are the same then.. does this mean then the heater is identically placed on lhd cars as to rhd cars? May be worth importing some 24v heater hoses then mathew..

If you mean the larger diameter steel tube behind the pump Paul I forgot to ask for those but apparently Frederic has some! I am fairly sure there are no differences between l and rhd and 12 and 24v steel pipes and rubber hoses as the matrix is in the same location. With regards, Matthew T.

Matthew,

Any chance you could ask Frederic if he has any of the doughnut engine mounts that are bolted to the chassis leg on the S1 24v?

Citroen part no. is 1827 07.

Item no. 6 in this diagram...
