Selling off one (or bits

) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Back in BX times I simply fixed it with glue. Granted, it's easier to replace...

Hi Vince
The failure is usually the knob splits where it attaches to the spindle.
It is a standard radio type knob and spindle fitting.

If it's just a plastic snout with a round hole and flat, superglue/araldite it back together, with a short piece of metal tubing put round the snout. Alternatively, wrap several turns of wire round the snout, plus a bit of araldite. Should last for ever.

Ive absolutly piles of the roatry knobs (if you like) in the shed!! Is it deafenatly broke or is the teeth skipping at the back due to sized heater dire tion flaps due to dust ingrest??
Both me and Will Dieselman (i think) have done heater box strip downs to free the flaps up!
In the back of the roatry knob theres a metal plate that slots into the end of the spigot.. this sits against the flat on the heater panel. They go awol too.. leaving a spinning knob.
