Well.. sadly beyond my control i may need to have to look at passing the in famous K Ban on..

Finiancial dictates and is more important then any car and sadly must needs.

I will though still need to fit a pair of front wheel bearings before any thing else and theres a hole in the rear off side cill ill weld up too.

Most of the useual browsers will know the car. There is a blog on here.

Ive been useing her myself since march and apart from a rear brake pipe not a moments bother! Ive got the average mpg up to 45mpg now and just recently had oil and filter and a new fuel filter.

Starts in an instant with no bother what so ever. Mechanical bosch fuel. And to re cap new clutch new cam belt and water pump.. The 20k ago.. also front discs new and pads. . No Abs for headaches.. etc.

Sunroof dont work and locking plipper doesnt either. Everything else does including the glove box.

Ive no idea on value.. so ill start at 1500 quids... :) ;)

If you actually tried to sell it you would rather than wasting your time on the forums, a couple of hours with the polish and you could make proper money ;) no chance of it being scrapped if it sells for good money too.

Hang on, is it this kind of sale?

I know. I dont really want to sell.. just curious what interest there may be even after the work done.

The blog to refer to of course.. but i need to fit a pair of front new wheel bearings.

Im in just such a mental mess at the moment.. i dont know which way to turn..

If you HAVE to sell it you have to sell it end of, but to be honest as far as xm models go I think the bullet proof 2.0 and 2.1 manuals are becoming the most saleable, good ones don't sit around for long and turn good money, worth hanging onto if you can, not sure what the rise in interest rates will do to the clanger car market mind but if you can..........
Don't break your neck over it though, its only a car!!

Take it for a clean, inside and out, down the local taliban, t-cut, polish and some bloody good photos and then bang it on Car and Classic at your stated £1500.
Don't suffer the tyre kickers and the bullshitters. Give it a month and if no joy . . . keep it.

Yea.. i think this has to happen. I may well live to regret it. But in honesty.. ive got the 24v.. and ive got another manderin L reg 2.1 td car to "Experiment" with.

A bloody hole has appeared in the rear off side cill too. Easy job.. but added to the clean and front wheel bearings list to do's...
